A rare case for me as a fan of Hip-Hop and R&B that I enjoy a project that tries to blend both. The hometown boy(D.C. what up!) Ginuwine and legendary producer Timbaland managed to create an album that executes that formula to great strengths and very little weakness with seductive and saddening lyrics, as well as the up-tempo, Timbaland trademark chopped up, yet focused sound.

This album had interludes that helped songs transition smoothly from one track to another and it was just a well crafted album from start to finish. One of the signature and more sex driven tracks on the album, "Pony" is known by many as an R&B classic. There's also some other gems that I love personally from this album. I have to give credit to Ginuwine for his cover of "When Doves Cry" by his music hero, Prince. You take a classic hook, Ginuwine's signature crooning, Timbo's Hip-Hop twist of flavor, and you have an interesting yet great cover to a classic song from Purple Rain.

"Only When Ur Lonely" is also a personal favorite of mine, because I can relate to being that guy that was seen as the void to a lady's heart rather than an actual love partner. I love "Tell Me Do U Wanna" mostly for the sound of the song. I think it's an alternative to add to a certain playlist besides Pony (*hint hint*). Many will say 100% Ginuwine is a classic album and his best work, but some people forget the album that got him to that point. If it wasn't for this underrated gem that helped Ginuwine knock down that musical door, there wouldn't even be a Ginuwine.

There's about two tracks I'd skip, but other than that I definitely enjoy the debut from a man who ran R&B in the late 90's/Early 2000s. I recommend this album for any R&B lover or casual listener. I know you will enjoy this smooth and enticing effort of a debut album.
