DAR Sports: NFL Conference Championship Preview

We have arrived at the final four of Football. The NFL Conference Championship games are here and the four teams that made it here shouldn't surprise you: the Denver Broncos, the no. 1 seed in the AFC. The Carolina Panthers, the no. 1 seed in the AFC. The New England Patriots, the no. 2 seed in the AFC and the Arizona Cardinals, the no. 2 seed in the NFC. With these four teams making it this far, one has to wonder how the Super Bowl will shape from here. Regardless, the Super Bowl will be a game of greatness because all 4 teams exhibit flashes of brilliance and tenacity. Today, we gathered the team up to talk this upcoming week in the NFL and the playoffs. Let us get right into it. The time is here.

AFC Championship Game
1. Denver Broncos vs 2. New England Patriots

@DFkinLopes_
I think New England will win this in a close game, they're just the better team. Peyton isn't as good as he used to be and he won't be able to come through with the win. The final score will be 31-24 with New England on top.

@MIGHTYTRAPLORD_
I don't wanna see the Patriots win again. I'm tired of them, and I'm tired of the annoying ass fans always running their mouth and being cocky as shit knowing they day they lose they're just gonna bitch about it and make a bunch of excuses. I hope Manning has the best game of his career and goes off for 500 yards with 5 TD's and a 98% completion PCT. I hope the defense shuts the Patriots out. I hope Brady throws for 7 picks. I hope the WR core exposes Butler's scrub ass and the entire secondary. This probably won't happen, but if it does, screw the Cardinals, Peyton will retire a 2x super bowl champion. I lied. But at least he'll get another appearance.
Broncos win.

@SpeedontheBeat
On the AFC side, I like Denver.
The Patriots have had their fair share of hiccups on both sides of the ball. I don't see them pulling out the W here after playing a game they, truthfully, should've lost versus the Chiefs. Do I see Tom Brady being Tom Brady? Unfortunately, yes (take that how you wanna). But, I don't see them winning the AFC Championship. Peyton, in the divisional round, while he didn't throw for a TD, he played pretty well. Also, their running game was on full-fledged Beast Mode. I'm going to go with the Broncos.

The defending Super Bowl champions are not letting up any time soon. Tom Brady and company will be time enough for the returning Peyton Manning. Denver was victorious over the Steelers and it honestly caught me by surprise. What isn’t necessarily news is the fact that the Patriots are a solid team on both sides of the ball. The Broncos have experienced their ups and downs, but I’m not convinced they’ll shut down the Patriots.

@ShokusApollo
This will be an interesting, but unfortunately the Patriots will reach the Super Bowl again. Patriots will win.

@peagle05
The Cena/Orton matchup of football except I'm not sick of seeing it. Especially since this is most likely the last time we'll see these two against each other as Peyton is on his way out due to his neck issues catching up with him. The key for the Broncos is the same as it is with every team, Put the heat on Tom. And with Demarcus Ware and Von Miller, there should be fairly consistent pressure. SHOULD. BE. For the Patriots, as weird as it sounds, make Peyton beat you. The Broncos have had success running the ball basically getting by with the old school mentality of great defense, solid running attack. Not expecting a high scoring shootout but this should come down to the last possession. Patriots win 24-21.

@TrueGodImmortal
As biased as I want to be because the Broncos are my team, I'm looking at this from a standpoint of who's hungrier and who wants it more. I wasn't impressed with the Patriots nor the Broncos in the Divisional Round, but I will say that I feel Peyton is back in his bag and will have an explosive game going forward in a shocker to some. I feel like Brady will throw 2 interceptions, and that the Denver defense will show up and rattle the Patriots. Peyton throws for 275-325 yards and 2 touchdowns, while the run game is efficient. The Patriots won't go down easy, but the Broncos will pull this one out 27-17.

NFC Championship Game
1. Carolina Panthers vs 2. Arizona Cardinals

@DFkinLopes_
This game I honestly don't know who's gonna win I like both teams this is going to be a great game I think. It'll be a defensive game. Arizona will win it 24-21.

@SpeedontheBeat
I've gone on record saying that I don't see Carolina pulling out the win against Arizona. I'll continue that sentiment here. I've also gone on record saying that the Panthers' receiving corp isn't as strong as Arizona. I stand by that as well. Ted Ginn is good. But he's no Larry Fitzgerald. Heck, he has this weird habit of disappearing at times when teams need him most (Carolina included at some points this season). Now, does Jonathan Stewart and the Panthers' run game pose a threat? And does Greg Olsen make up for whenever Ginn falls off? Oh hell, yeah! But, again, as I've stated, Carolina letting a team they shut out for over half of the game back into it, it reeks of some ol' "oh, they're about to collapse" foolishness. It'll be a close game, but I see experience winning out over dabbing and such.

@MIGHTYTRAPLORD_
I feel like all of the hard work Larry "legend" Fitzgerald has put in for his football career will finally payoff in the super bowl. The Cardinals are a better team offensively in my opinion, and I think they will find ways to beat the Panthers tough defense. I don't think the Panthers can win this game despite home field advandtage, because they had little competition all season, except for the Divisional game of course.

@_Oh_Bee
While the Cardinals are proving themselves, I believe Sunday was a wake-up call for Carolina. Scoring 31 points in the first half then only winning by 7 seven points isn’t acceptable. Plain and simple, the Panthers got comfortable. The game is never over until you see FINAL and the Seahawks proved that. I have faith in this team. The Cardinals have been just as explosive as the Panthers and that’s what will make this game the one to watch. I’m equally excited to see the Larry Fitzgerald/Josh Norman match-up. In my mind, Carolina is a bit hungrier. I don’t think this is the end of the road for them. Panthers win.

@ShokusApollo
To the point and simple: Cardinals will on a last minute drive. It will be a great game without a doubt.

@peagle05
This is gonna be the game to watch. The Panthers tough defense against that high powered Cardinals offense. The key for the Panthers is keeping pressure on Carson Palmer and keeping Larry Fitzgerald from being Football Jesus again. The Cardinals on the other hand need to keep that Carolina ground game in check, specifically when it comes to Cam running the ball. Two good offenses face off against two good defenses, something has to give. Panthers win 34-27.

@TrueGodImmortal
I was impressed by the Panthers in the first half of their Seattle game. I mean, you're talking about a Seattle defense that is very dominant, and for the Panthers to put up 31 points and watch the lead slip almost, has to be a wake up call for Cam and company. The Cardinals honestly are lucky to be here, as the Packers almost pulled out a victory against them. The Cardinals might be the more sound team overall, but I have a feeling that the Panthers will pull out this victory. Both teams will play hard and this game will be amazing, but Panthers close it out in the 4th with a final touchdown. Panthers win 30-20
